A large US-based INGO with operations in Afghanistan identified an urgent need for full re-design of its existing security programme based on new legislative and regulatory requirements under Afghan law. An extended deployment to the INGO’s various sites across Afghanistan provided a clear picture of the challenges faced, and a bespoke security management programme was designed that achieved full compliance with Afghan law whilst also meeting the INGO’s duty-of-care requirements to its expatriate and national staff.


A professional services business conducting financial audit of the Kurdistan Regional Government was concerned by the potential for rapid deterioration in the regional security environment. A comprehensive range of EOPs was developed, incorporating a range of threat-based responses from full withdrawal to retrenchment in secure locations. The organisation was able to continue operations secure in the knowledge that every foreseeable eventuality had been planned for and its personnel could operate safely in KRG.


A major international technology firm was threatened by spreading civil unrest across the MENA region during the ‘Arab Spring’. Key countries and sites were identified and prioritised, and a full Country Evacuation planning programme implemented over a period of several weeks. In the majority of countries the simple presence of a well-developed plan provided sufficient confidence in risk management process to continue operations; and in those countries where the situation deteriorated more severely plans were implemented and key personnel evacuated or relocated as needed.
